I love a simple sweater that has something to make it a little special. The stripes of this sweater do just that. This will make a great piece to transition into the spring. It’s 40% off and also available in blue.
I managed to make my way back into the gym this week. Monday was my first day of exercise since my kids got out of school for Christmas break! With the busy holiday season, travel, and family in town, I decided to just enjoy the break and all the food before getting serious. It felt good to be so active and back on the road to being fit again. What I thought was a rather light workout, with a ton of cardio, must have been enough for my out-of-shape self. Muscles throughout my whole body were sore yesterday.
Before getting pregnant with Cora, I had been going to the gym 3x a week for an hour each day. It was a great way to spend a little time to focus on myself and to have some ‘me’ time. By the time I got pregnant, I was in the best shape of my life. Yes, even in my 30’s and after already having three kids. I was more fit, had more muscle definition, and overall strength than I had ever had before. I felt great!!
I am determined to be back to that point, or better, again.
I am continuing to breastfeed Cora and don’t want to do anything that will decrease my milk supply, so I won’t be ‘dieting’ or working out excessively. After each baby, I seem to hang on to 5-10 extra pounds that don’t usually go away until after I finish breastfeeding, which is around the baby’s first birthday. Then again, I’ve never done an exercise routine pre/post baby. I will document my progress (via photos) and plan to share the journey on my blog.
I hope you’re having a great week and staying warm! Thanks for reading and sharing with your friends.
