Shift dresses are definitely one of my favorite style of dresses. They are comfortable and always look flattering. This color plus the lace just make it perfect.
This past week was a long one and I was so thankful for a lazy weekend at home. We have very few opportunities for going out to shoot some outfits and it just didn’t happen last week due to windy/rainy days and my photographer/husband’s real work schedule. Thankfully, the weather was pretty enough on Saturday and I have content to share this week.
Cora has been fighting congestion and a cough for several days, so that made for some long nights and her daytime sleep was all out of whack. There were two days that she slept past 10 o’clock in the morning! Her first tooth has made the tiniest break through her gums last week. I’m not sure if the snot-nose was a product of the teething and/or a cold. She never ran a fever, and I’m so thankful for that. I think Thursday was the worst of it all and she’s been on the mend since then. Her daddy has kept her well adjusted (yay for chiropractic!!) every day, we’ve used essential oils, and of course I’m taking a ton of vitamins to get to her via breastmilk. The nosefrida was a life-saver at clearing out her nose so she wouldn’t have so much drainage and could breathe easier.
As a follow-up to this post, Savannah had so much fun at the daddy/daughter dance last Saturday. I talked about our experience shopping for the perfect dress and thankfully my sweet seamstress was able to take in the dress, making it fit Savannah just perfectly. Once her hair was all curled and she got to put on the newly altered dress, she looked just like a princess. Perfect for the Once Upon A Time theme. She posed for pictures and said, “I just can’t quit smiling!”
They went on a double date to dinner with our next door neighbors, one of Savannah’s BBFs. She got to see several of her friends at the dance that she’s known since her pre-school days. I just love her and am so thankful that her daddy makes her feel as special as she is.
Have a great week!
