Before I get to the outfit and Cora’s update, I want to give a little general life update in regards to the blog. It’s been hard to find the time to shoot photos for my blog recently. It has become increasingly hard over the past few months, but this past month seemed impossible.
Caleb’s work load has picked up now that he’s opened a second office, so he’s working during the times we used to have for photoshoots. My kids have been out of school for two weeks and taking 4 kids on photoshoots is stressful (and they don’t like going any more than I like having to take them).
Life in general is quite busy (as I’m sure it is with most people) so I’ve taken a step back this month as to not feel so stressed. I needed to refocus my time on what’s most important in my life right now, which is my family/kids. Most days, the only “outfit” I wear is athleisure clothes for working out at the gym or a super casual look for running errands. Yes, there are days where I dress in a cute outfit, like to go to a luncheon yesterday or for church on Sunday’s, but most days it’s a comfy t-shirt or gym clothes.
I’m not saying any of this as a complaint. I really enjoy everything I do for the blog, but I know that this stage of life is short and my kids/family will always be my priority. I’m not stepping away from this adventure completely. I’ve just come to terms with the fact that it will be a hobby for the time being. Some days or weeks might lend more time to Small Town Fancy, while others might be silent. I’ll enjoy the things and time I’m able to use towards this blog, but most importantly, I plan to enjoy the things and time I will be spending with my kids and husband.
I really appreciate the support from all of you. Again, I’m not discontinuing what I’ve started, I just wanted to share where things lie for now. I hope that you will continue to follow along and enjoy what I’m able to share.

It’s been a busy month for Cora! She turned 10 months old on 5/28 …
Eating: Unfortunately, my nursing journey came to an end. I did everything under the sun that I knew to do. I was not happy to be done before she turned one, but I’m thankful for being able to nurse her as long as I did. She is currently drinking raw goats milk, 6-8 ounces four times a day. Baby-led weaning is so easy and there isn’t much that the girl won’t eat. Most recently her favorite foods include: bananas, blueberries, black beans, green beans, broccoli, steak, and rice.
Sleeping: Soon after she turned 9 months old, she hit the 9-month sleep regression. Thankfully, it only effected her naps. There were short or sometimes non-existent. Regardless, she was happy all day and continued to sleep great though the night. This phase lasted for about 2 weeks. Now she’s back to a 1.5-2 hour morning nap + a 1.5-2 hour afternoon nap.
Stats: She weighs 20.4 pounds. She’s wearing 9-12 month or 12 month clothing. This past week I went into the attic and brought down a bunch of clothes that I saved from when Savannah was little. Eight years and countless prayers later, all of those saved girl clothes are paying off!
Milestones: She didn’t waste any time growing up this month. She gives kisses intentionally. She waves bye-bye. She nods her head ‘yes’ (to everything). She can stand alone. She can go from sitting to standing unassisted. She walks along while pushing a walker toy.
Her little personality is so fun and we are loving every little stage of her life. Caleb and I were just talking the other day that even though she’s our fourth baby, the excitement and fun we have with everything she does is no less than it was with our first baby.
Happy 10 months, Cora Rose! xoxo
