This dress is such a great one! The shift dress style is always so comfortable. It comes in 6 colors and I wore it in another color here. Easy to dress up or down, this is a great piece to have as we transition into fall. I topped it off with a jacket and you could also wear tall boots on colder days.
Here’s a little update on Cora. She turned two months old last week. The time is passing so quickly and it seems as if she’s been apart of our family for so much longer. I follow the Baby Wise method of an eat-wake-sleep schedule and that helps to guide our days. Babies change so quickly, as do their needs, so nothing is hard core, but we keep it functional.
Eating: She is still exclusively breastfed with 2-3 bottles of breast milk a week if I’m away from her during a feeding time. I just introduced her to bottles at 7 weeks old. That’s much later than I’ve ever waited before. I was a little nervous that I waited too long, but she has finally come around to accepting a bottle. Her first feeding is at 7:30 a.m. and she’s eating every 3 hours during the day. I dream feed her before I go to bed and then she sometimes wakes once to eat. I think we’re rounding the corner to her sleeping through the night though because she is making it a solid 6-8 hours before waking, most nights. She does spit up more than I remember any other baby doing, so that makes feeding times not so fun.
Sleep: She continues to be a good sleeper, if given the chance. With three older siblings and a busy on-the-go life, at least one nap a day happens in her car seat. Thankfully, she has always slept really well there. Most days she naps for 1-1.5 hours in the morning, then 1.5-2 hours around lunch time, and another short nap just before dinner. Bedtime routine starts between 7:15 and 7:30. Bath, swaddle, nurse, songs, and then she is sound asleep, in her bed no later than 8:00. She naps and sleeps in her bed, in her room, until I dream feed her. Then I move her into our bedroom since her room is at the other end of the house.
Stats: She weighed 12.7 pounds at 2 months, putting her in the 84% for weight. She’s wearing size 0-3 month clothing and size 1 diapers.
Milestones: She found her voice about two weeks ago and her baby coos are the sweetest. I really could listen to it all day. She is most the “talkative” right before she gets tired and is ready for her nap. She smiles a lot and I love seeing her little dimple. She lays on her play mat a few times a day, but would rather watch the cartoons on t.v. When being held, she prefers to be upright, like a big kid, and is always interested to see what’s going on around her.
She is seriously the easiest and happiest baby ever. I’m so thankful for that! Her big siblings think that she is the best thing ever. Every single day, Maddox (almost 3 y/o) says, “She’s so cute!” And we all agree.
I hope your week is off to a great start. Thanks for following and sharing with your friends!
