We were so happy to have our family come over last week for a BBQ dinner and to celebrate baby number four with a gender reveal party. You can read in this post about the day of the anatomy sonogram, which was three days before this gender reveal party. Yes, Caleb and I kept it a secret to ourselves for three days and it took me almost that entire time to believe it wasn’t a dream.
My sweet friend, Abbey came out in the drizzly rain to set up this cute yard display for me. Look up Sign Gypsies – Van Alstyne to contact her for your special occasion!
I found these gold foil letter balloons at Hobby Lobby and hung them with twine. You can see how I used these balloons for my pregnancy announcement in this post.
This beautiful and delicious cake was made by Cynthia of Sug-Ah (you can find her work on Facebook).
I love how the table display turned out considering I started to ‘plan’ this party on three days prior.
I bought these B-A-B-Y letters, unpainted, from Hobby Lobby. They are made of cardboard and my husband spray painted them for me.
These cute little sugar cookies were also made by Cynthia of Sug-Ah (find her on Facebook).
I framed a photo from our anatomy sonogram. The blue mason jars, pink carnations, and pink/blue Hershey kisses were all from Target.
Planning this party on a whim, I really wanted this cake topper, but didn’t have the time to order one. Luckily, a friend was able to get me in contact with someone locally who could do it. Casey was gracious enough to make this for me the same day I asked her about it. You can find her and the cute things she makes on Facebook at Texas Mamas Knits.
My sister kindly wrote this little chalkboard sign for me. Can you tell she’s a teacher by her awesome handwriting? Frame is from Hobby Lobby.
I spent entirely too long the night before the party wrapping and writing on this big box. Thankfully it ended up cute and worked out great. I intended to do this reveal outside, but the weather was cold and rainy so we had to make-do inside. Hence the reason this box got tied to our ceiling fan.
Family photo! The kids were excited to be the ones who got to open the box. We had a close call when Maddox started to grab the strings before we were ready for the big reveal.
Savannah was speechless, but she gave me the longest hug after the pink balloons and streamers fell.
Pink cake to celebrate baby number four being a little sister; a girl.
This is the photo we posted on social media to announce that baby number four is just what we prayed for; a girl.
