Dress: Charles Henry | Heels: Daya By Zendaya | Bag: Givenchy | Sunglasses: Chanel | Watch: Fossil
The colors in this dress are so pretty for fall. I love the faux wrap style and the sleeves. It’s available in petite and regular sizes, I’m wearing size XS regular. I wore this dress to church a few weeks ago, but it would also be a great dress for special occasions, such as a wedding or shower. I paired it with neutrals, but you could also wear blush or bordeaux tones.
Last week was a very busy, expensive, long, and sad week for my family. Monday started with dentist appointments for the oldest three kids and Hudson has his first cavities. Caleb had a dentist appointment to have a crown done on Tuesday. Wednesday night ended with a trip to Urgent Care for Hudson. What we feared could be appendicitis, was actually just constipation (super long story!). Friday morning we found out that my uncle passed away late Thursday, after battling cancer since March. And then later in the day, Caleb had an out-patient surgery that kept him on the couch for the better part of the weekend.
The news of my uncle’s passing was shocking and heart breaking. He and his family have lived in Virginia for many years now, but they lived 5 minutes from me for most of my childhood. I have so many fond memories from my childhood and into my married life of my uncle Steve. He often teased me about my high heels, but would also compliment my outfits. Cora and I travel out to Virginia today, along with my parents and siblings, to love on my aunt and cousins as we lay my uncle Steve to rest.
I am thankful for the peace we have, knowing that my uncle Steve is no longer suffering in pain. He is now made whole again, and is full of life, in the presence of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. My heart hurts for my aunt, cousins, and their kids who all adored their ‘Pops’, as they called him. He will most certainly be missed here, but what a sweet reunion it will be one day when we are called to join him in heaven. Please keep us in your prayers as Cora and I travel. For my extended family, who have their first holidays without their husband, dad, and ‘Pops’ quickly approaching and as they find their new normal.
I hope you have a great week and pray that you also know God as your personal Savior. If not, and you have questions, please message me!
Thanks for reading!
