It was on a late night almost two weeks ago when I was working on a blog post and my computer froze. After a few attempts to close the programs, nothing was working, so I turned the power off. When I turned it back on, my computer screen was blank. Have you ever experienced that gut-wrenching feeling? That everything was lost? It’s not fun.
Certain that I had lost anything that was not backed up on my external hard drive, I handed over my computer to a good (and Mac certified) friend to see if he could salvage any of my data and/or my computer. I was confident in his knowledge and computer skills, but I was still fearful that all was lost. Days ticked by and I had no idea that the process to recover any data wasn’t a quick or easy one.
After over a week without a computer, the verdict was in. Good news and bad news. Good news: he was able to collect all of my data (a.k.a. pictures of my family/kids) and save it to an external hard drive. Bad news: my computer was dead and I needed a new one. But who can complain about getting a new computer?
So now I’m back and with a brand new computer.
While I was computer-less, spring weather arrived and is hopefully here to stay. I’m excited to start sharing spring and summer styles and inspirations.
Thanks for stopping by, have a wonderful Monday!
